Bridging the gap between the microscope and the dashboard
Hello! I’m Jeremy, a Quality Assurance Microbiologist based in Bend, Oregon, with a passion for transforming complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights.
For years, I’ve worked on the front lines of microbial control at Deschutes Brewery, ensuring the safety and consistency of every batch. My time in the lab, developing environmental monitoring programs and supervising technicians, showed me that the most critical decisions are driven by data. I saw an opportunity to go beyond simply collecting samples and started teaching myself R to better analyze, visualize, and communicate the stories hidden within our quality data. This journey led me to a unique intersection of microbiology and data science. I thrive on building robust, data-driven quality systems. Whether it’s writing a clear and compliant SOP, scripting an analysis to spot a microbial trend before it becomes a problem, or building an interactive dashboard to empower my team, my goal is the same: to use data to make smarter, faster, and safer decisions.
